Empowered Campus Culture
Empowered Campus Culture is a critical element of our 10-year strategic plan, Momentous: Personalized Scale for Global Impact. During and since the launch of our plan, hundreds of people across this university, including faculty, staff, administrators and students, sat down and told the truth about Rice. What makes this place work? What are the opportunities to improve? Rice LIVED is what we heard, put into words we can all use.
Our Cultural Ecosystem
We have now outlined our Guiding Principles, Values and the distinct Characteristics that define Rice’s personality. We map out the specific Behaviors that translate these ideals into action for everyone, managers and leaders. Together, these elements establish a shared vocabulary — giving us the language to celebrate what is working and the alignment to constructively hold each other accountable if we drift.
