Striving for Excellence
I give my absolute best and hold myself and others to Rice standards in everything we do. I advance Rice’s mission through the quality of my work.
Behaviors
If our values represent the “we,” our behaviors are the “me.” They are the personal choices that determine how each of us shows up and lives out our culture every single day. Each of us in every role knows what is expected of us, and when we adhere to these behaviors, we become a more unified and impactful organization. These behaviors clearly outline what is expected in every role, guiding how we hire, nurture talent and support accountability across all faculty and staff.
Most importantly, it’s who we are and how we show up every day. Our behaviors are cumulative, with expectations building at each level.
Everyone Behaviors describe how we show up and bring our culture to life in our everyday work. They create clear, shared expectations that help us work together and strengthen our organization.
Everyone Behaviors apply to all, regardless of role or title.
